The road from here to there, much traveled by many people. What adventures will start on such a road?

| It had been just over a day. The pair had managed to persuade the man to give them the van, partially because Rose had lost her temper and had threatened to castrate the man with a rusted spoon if he didn't comply, but either way they had an eight passenger van and were well on their way to where Esmeralda had seen Rose's sister Snow White. Rose sat quiet through most of the trip letting Esmeralda run the radio and talk about whatever she wanted. Rose had too much on her mind to really come up with anything to talk about but finally she looked at her companion in a moment of silence and sighed, "What are we gonna do after we find them? We can't just go back to living in that cabin. And my step mother will never allow us to just live peacefully somewhere." She shook her head, not really sure if this was a rhetorical line of questions or if her companion would actually reply.

| Esmeralda though for a moment on what she had said. "Well you have a few options. Fight for what's yours. That would mean getting others to follow you, especially if she has magic on her side. You could be like me and stay on the move so she can't find you. Or mark out a place that is yours that is too far for her to reach." She said saying all the options she could think of. "If you told people the truth about her, I am sure you can get others to help you. Magic or not if you have the support in numbers she can't defend herself." It seemed like the best option to her, but she was also someone who didn't have a real home to fight for. If she did she wouldn't let anyone stand in her her way of keeping it. |

| Rose sat and listened to Esmeralda, all the options she was suggesting she had thought of already. This was nothing new to her. She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment as she weighed her options, "There is no where she can't reach, not if she..." She let the sentence end there not wanting to finish it and scare her companion with the thought of the dark witch helping her stepmother. Her eyes shifted, "I guess the noblest thing would be to try and fight her." She shrugged, "I remember there was a small rebellion when she first took over but it didn't end well." A light laugh came from her throat, "The only thing is I don't know the first thing about fighting a war, or recruiting warriors to fight for me." She shrugged, "I guess we'll have to see how things are going, if my sisters are even alive for that matter, I mean the other ones not Snow White."

Mulan Mulan continued to walk along the side or the road her scarf pulled well over her face and the hood of her old beaten up coat pulled down to hid the rest of her face. Now that she was outed as what she was her family and friends had abandoned her. That was all she had known. Now she had to find a new life and figure out what she wanted to do with .... herself?

| Esmeralda nodded/ "That is true." She said looking over at her. She looked back at the road to a a figure walking a ways ahead. "Feel like picking up a hitch hiker? You could see if they've heard of your stepmother." She said thinking even the smallest amount of information could provide useful. "It's couldn't hurt to find out if they do." |

| Rose looked at Esmeralda and sighed still wrestling with what she had to figure out. She was the rightful heir to the throne but she'd never wanted anything less in her life, but something told her she wasn't going to have a choice in the matter, destiny was going to shove her into that whether she wanted it or not. Rose cast her blue eyes up and saw the figure walking and nodded, "Can't hurt." Something told her that this woman might be useful, she didn't know how she knew that but it was just a gut feeling she was having so she decided to run with it. She reached in the back and tossed some things from one side to another to make room for their new companion. They were going to need a bigger vehicle if they were going to recruit an army.

| Mulan When Mulan heard thee vehicle approach she walked closer to the tree line and turned to see what sort of vehicle it was and who was driving. She didn't need to run into any of her old 'friends' again the last time she had to run for her life. Mulan eased a switchblade out of her sleeve and held it in her hand turning her knuckles back and keeping it well hidden. Waiting to see what would happen.

| Esmeralda slowed down and came to a stop next to the woman. She pushed the button to roll the window down. She leaned over towards Rose and the side the woman was on. "Can I offer you a ride?" She asked knowing that it meant another head to take care of. Although with the van they had enough space for a little while. Sooner or later with all the sister this woman had they would need another vehicle, or a big bus. "Where are you headed?" |

| Mulan Mulan studied the woman for awhile before she answered 'everywhere and no where, but for the moment simply away from here. Where are you headed?" She asked in reply. The offer to ride may seem like a good thing but she was used to things seeming to be good and turning out rather sour. She was going to be more cautious with this offer than she was with the last. She knew nothing of these women who they were, where they were headed, and more importantly why they would stop and offer her a ride unsolicited.

| "North, to meet some old friends. If your going that way you can tag along as far as you need to go." She said giving the woman a friendly smile. She could tell the woman was suspicious but that was to be expected these days. Everyone that everyone else was out to get them. "We are going to stop the next town up to get some food anyway if you want to join us that far. Give your feet a rest." |

| Mulan She climbed into the vehicle "Anywhere is better than here. I will ride along as far as you will let me." She said as she slide the knife back into her sleeve and offered it to the nearest girl. "I am call Mulan. Who are you guys you know you shouldn't pick up hitchhickers." Mulan added with a forced smile, small talk was not something she knew how to make.

| Rose, who had sat quietly finally spoke, "Hitchikers are the least of our worries." She turned her blue eyes to their new passenger, "I'm Rose." She said, not wanting to give away her second name in case the woman recognized her, or remembered her. Of all of the daughters of the King, Rose would be the one they would remember as she was the oldest, the one that they were the most familiar with, despite the fact that whenever her parents had company she was usually sent to her room to be alone, though that was a blessing compared to the closet under the stairs.

| "I am Esmeralda." She said looking in the rear-view mirror as she spoke before returning her gaze to the road. "Have you been walking long?" She asked curious about their guest. She would rather know what she was dealing with before getting too far along. |

| Mulan 'Thanks for the ride ladies and yes I have been walking long, a few months not headed anywhere really. You can drop me anywhere you like and I will continue off on my own again.' Mulan answered as she took a seat and buckled her seat belt. Vagueness would be the key to survival now no one could get close. Now she knew that effort didn't matter she could never be really accepted for what she was.
